A spelling folder can help build confidence and strengthen spelling skills. It also comes with pages to use for a writing journal. There are 2 choices for a cover page and 3 different style filler pages. There are 8 pages total in this PDF.

Spelling dictation is when the instructor says out lout what to write and the student has to write down what they hear. This is something that can be used from Kindergarten and up! At K level, write a vowel in the focus letter box like "a" and tell your student to write down some CVC words that include letter a. Next, practice writing digraphs using teams like ch or sh in the focus letter box! Use vowel teams and let the student practice choosing between ai and ay using spelling rules they know like "ay goes at the end and ai in the middle". This is a tool that can be used for years!
